B.C. Steelhead: A Photographic Essay
10-12-2007
Steelhead are among the most difficult fly rod fish to catch. The conditions are demanding and the weather is unpredictable, which usually means it's bad. They rarely show themselves so often angling is done on blind faith alone. Somewhat mystical and cult like, droves of anglers flock to the famous rivers like the Skeena and the Babine. Productive locations are guarded like passwords at banks. But if you manage to get the information you'll be rewarded with something money can not buy... 40 inches of sea run rainbow rocketing upstream doing its best to trash your bedtime dreams.
Watch this collection of images Todd Sabine has shot over the past few seasons. We hope it gives you the essence of the beauty, frustration and the rewards that are all part of the crazy fall steelhead game.

In fact, you may have seen some recently published articles about this fishery in a few of the major fishing magazines. If so, all we can say is the stories are true! Have a look at the video and if you think this might qualify for your next fishing adventure, we'll send you more info.
