Tsimane's Pluma Lodge is the ultimate adventure for anglers seeking trophy golden dorado in pristine, clear freestone rivers. Surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of the Bolivian rainforest, Pluma Lodge sits on the banks of the Pluma River, where golden dorado and pacú are able to be to be pursued along with a variety other jungle fish prone to eating well presented flys. Tismane's flagship lodge offers both hikeable headwater sections as well as lower elevation flats where the river is broader, slower and offers more room to cast. Pluma Lodge explores some of the most productive dorado fisheries in Bolivia including the entire Pluma, the lower Sécure and the "crown jewel" the Itirizama River, known for it's trophy dorado that reside in swift currents, plunge pools and pocket water. Housing a maximum of 8 anglers per week, Pluma is a very comfortable jungle lodge, built entirely from sustainable wood cut from the nearby jungle. Guests enjoy double rooms with private bathrooms, hot water, free Wi-Fi, laundry service, and an on premise fly shop. The lodge features international cuisine paired with stellar Argentinean, Chilean, and Bolivian wines in a finely-fashioned living and dining room with an all-inclusive bar. If the conditions are right, anglers can opt for the chance to access areas further afield and drop a camp in the wilderness nearer the "headwaters" of the Pluma or Itirizama. This option often requires long hikes and is therefore recommended for physically fit anglers. For those not interested in hiking far distances, the lower river sections offer fishing from dugout canoes called Chiman. In the lower reaches anglers can encounter schools of dorado crashing bait - much as giant trevally attack baitfish in the ocean. When conditions are ripe, in sections near the confluence with the Sécure river, fish can often be seen slurping tree nuts off the surface and occasionally cruise across sandy flats offering sight fishing opportunities. With deluxe accommodations, fine dining, and unparalleled jungle fishing opportunities, Tsimane's Pluma Lodge is a dream destination for any angler.
