With a well-appointed clubhouse and air-conditioned rooms, this family-owned lodge is the best spot in the Bahamas if you want excellent, extensive flats out-the-front-door. Good food and warm hospitality make this one of our top choices for those seeking the remote and relatively unfished corners of the Bahamas.
The Acklin's Islands flats and creeks are expansive, offering anglers generally smooth waters where you can fish year-round due to its southern location. Weather patterns are favorable as cold fronts tend to either not reach this far south or tend to pass around the island. The average bonefish is 3-4 pounds with plenty of shots at 6+ pound bones daily. We don't want to give you the shakes but the lodge record is a 16-pound bonefish.
