At the southern end of the Yucatan Peninsula in the small village of Xcalak (ish-ka-lak) sits Costa de Cocos, a small off the grid lodge ideally located well away from the noise of any other hotels or roads (not that there are many of either here). The beachside lodge and thatched roofed cabanas offer everything that is necessary to enjoy an adventure filled fishing trip or a quite relaxing vacation. The large variety of lagoons, flats and creeks of Chetumal Bay and surrounding area offers excellent opportunities for tarpon, permit, bonefish, and snook. Super slams are a legitimate possibility every time you step in the 23 foot pangas. With excellent value and laid back vibe this should be on the top of the list for anglers and non anglers alike.
