La Pescadora is situated a short mile south of the small village of Punta Allen on Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula.  About 200 miles south of Cancun and at the end of a spit of land that extends into the northernmost point of Ascension Bay, La Pescadora is a small, family run operation amongst the fertile waters of the Sian Ka’an Biosphere reserve. This fishing focused lodge and guide staff offer one of the best values in the Caribbean. They employ a “first mate” program and have a junior guide on the casting deck with the angler while the “captain” or main guide poles the Panga. This is an aid in line management, an extra set of eyes on the water and someone to immediately begin offering guide advice if you want to quickly disembark and chase fish on foot. Rooms are comfortable and sizable, air conditioned and each have a private bathroom. Meals are typically traditional Mayan cuisine and often feature fresh seafood. The La Pescadora Fly Fishing Lodge and it’s hard working staff offer comfortable amenities and guided flats fishing opportunities on some of the best saltwater habitat in the world.
